Introducing New Buddy Program Now Available

Soccer ballOften it is a wonderful first soccer experience to be put on a team and make all new friends. However, within limits recently set by North Texas State Soccer Association, YMCA/GHCSA can now arrange for your player to be put on a team with a friend under certain circumstances. In order to provide a happier soccer experience for our younger players, Greater Hunt County Soccer Association utilizes the following rules in arranging these "BUDDY DRAFTS":

  • Buddy Draft is open to age divisions U4 through U6 ONLY (DOB: Aug 05 through July 08)
  • Both players MUST fall within the same age division
  • Only ONE buddy may be requested per player
  • BOTH players MUST request each other in the buddy section of the registration form at the time of registration. If one buddy fails to make a reciprocal request, the request CANNOT be honored.
  • At least ONE of the two buddies can NEVER have played soccer for ANY North Texas soccer association affiliated with NTSSA (All associations in North Texas are affiliated with NTSSA).
  • Both buddies will be drafted together to a new team.
  • The Buddy Draft deadline for each season is concurrent with the GENERAL registration, so no such requests may be made during the LATE registration period.
Failure to meet or agree with any and all of the guidelines above will result in buddy request not being able to be granted.

Call those buddies who have never played before and help spread the word!
