Ways To Register

1. Register online by completing an Online Player Registration Form.
2. Register in person by completing the registration form at the local YMCA. Office hours and map are listed on the About Us link.

Once you have registered, you will be sent login information for your GotSoccer Player Account. Please login to your account and update your player profile.

The cost for a Recreational Player is:
$55 for YMCA Members
$65 for Non-YMCA members

Coachin Discounts & Multiple child discounts are available.
Financial Aid is also available for players who qualify.

(NOTE: Players requesting to play with outside organizations must pay $25 per season to the YMCA/GHCSA to cover Home Association fees.)

Academy/CAL Information

Classic Academy League

In July 2004, North Texas passed a rule regarding "Academies". Academies are geared toward the recreational Under 8 through Under 10 players who want to participate with other players without following team formation rules. Academy play is intended to supplement recreational leagues. CAL is not a "select, club or competitive." As academies were created by North Texas, players may be rostered on BOTH a recreational team AND with academies at the same time.

The YMCA/GHCSA does not at this time run an academy or participate in the Classic Academy League. We do however, as a sanctioned association, register players who reside in our area. All academy players who reside in the Greater Hunt County Soccer Area must register through YMCA/GHCSA as their home association.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Academy players must register with their local home association in order to play on an Academy team. The Greater Hunt County Soccer Association is the home association for all players who are current recreational players with the YMCA/GHCSA and for players who reside within the Greater Hunt County boundaries and the City of Greenville. We DO NOT place CAL players on teams. Academy player placement is completed by academy teams (completely independant from the YMCA/GHCSA) typically through a tryout process.

REGISTRATION FEES:

CAL players must complete an Online Academy Registration Form, an Academy League Form, present a birth certificate, and pay the registration fee as follows:

• Players who play recreational soccer through the YMCA/GHCSA do not pay extra to our association for a release to academy play (**academies typically charge, which is not controlled through the YMCA).
  
  
• Our association encourages players who want to play academy to continue with their recreational team. This gives the player an opportunity to enjoy more game time and touches on the ball, all with no added cost.
  
  
• Players playing ONLY with academies (not recreational) must pay $25 per season for registration through the YMCA/GHCSA to play in the CAL program. (**academies typically charge also, which is not controlled through the YMCA/GHCSA)
  
  
• Upon receiving a copy of the player's academy registration form, players may participate with any academies, subject to the guidelines of the academy.

CAL forms must be validated and signed by the YMCA/GHCSA registrar to be valid. CAL registration cannot be done on-line. Forms must be brought to office for signature.

Tournament Rosters

Tournament rosters must be signed by a registrar. Players not registered through the YMCA/GHCSA must show a copy of their signed CAL form in order for a tournament roster to be validated.

Guest Player Information

Academy/CAL only players cannot guest play on a recreational team for a tournament. Players who play academy/CAL AND recreational soccer can guest play

Special Notes

• Please keep in mind that academy games are typically played on Sunday afternoons so not to interfere with recreational game play
• CAL games will be held in the Dallas Area
• CAL policies are completely independant from the YMCA/GHCSA. Academy play costs, practices, etc. are not controlled in anyway by the YMCA/GHCSA.
